Swiss alternative to ChatGPT for SMEs
Deeplink is a sovereign artificial intelligence platform for Swiss SMEs that do not want to expose their internal documents, contracts and customer data to a foreign provider. Unlike ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini, which are operated by US companies, Deeplink processes and hosts all data in Switzerland, under Swiss law only.
Founded in 2019 and B Corp certified since 2022, Deeplink serves more than 40 Swiss organisations, from SMEs to cantonal administrations.
What an SME risks by using ChatGPT
The risk is not theoretical, and it does not only concern large organisations. There are three concrete exposures:
- Loss of know-how. An employee who pastes a contract, a quote, a price list or a technical document into ChatGPT is passing that information on to a third party. Consumer plans generally reserve the right to use submitted content to improve their models, unless an enterprise plan is purchased and default settings are changed.
- Legal exposure. An SME that processes data about customers, applicants or employees remains responsible for that data under the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, revised on 1 September 2023). Sending it to a provider based outside Switzerland is a transfer to a third country, which requires specific safeguards.
- The US CLOUD Act. Passed in 2018, it allows US authorities to require any company subject to US law to hand over the data it holds, regardless of where that data is stored. Hosting in Europe is not enough to remove this exposure.

Which deployment model for an SME
Deeplink offers four deployment models, from shared cloud in Switzerland to installation in the client’s own data centre.
Standard
Enjoy a secure, compliant Swiss environment without having to manage any resources. Computing power and infrastructure are shared among customers.
🟡 IA: Model 14B and GPU L4
🟡 Infrastructure : Multitenancy
🟡 Platform : Multitenancy
Managed by Deeplink
Performance
Enjoy the same benefits as the Standard plan, with more powerful infrastructure and a more efficient model.
🟣 IA: Model 100B and GPU RTX6000 PRO
🟡 Infrastructure : Multitenancy
🟡 Platform : Multitenancy
Managed by Deeplink
Private Cloud
The entire stack is isolated and reserved exclusively for you. You get a 100% private, turnkey environment with no resource sharing, while leaving the management to Deeplink.
🟣 IA: Model 100B and GPU RTX6000 PRO
🟣 Infrastructure : Dedicated
🟣 Platform : Dedicated
Managed by Deeplink
onPremise
A complete infrastructure hosted on your own premises, under your full control. The hardware is located on-site, in your data center. You have full physical and logical control over the entire environment
🟣 IA: Model 100B and client GPU
🟣 Infrastructure : Dedicated
🟣 Platform : Dedicated
Managed by client
Organisations with heightened sovereignty requirements choose the on-premise model: the hardware is installed on their premises and no data passes over the internet.
What Deeplink brings to an SME
Deeplink brings together five tools in a no-code interface that the company manages itself, without developers.
- Internal GPT. A private conversational assistant powered by the company’s own documents. Your employees ask questions in natural language and get answers drawn from your own content.
- Smart search. Document search across your procedures, contracts and technical documentation, with the sources used displayed.
- Meeting minutes generation. Automatic transcription and formatting of your meetings, committees and sessions from a recording.
- Customer chatbot. An assistant available around the clock on your website that answers frequent questions and reduces the volume of requests to your customer service.
- AI agents. Automation of repetitive business processes, with every action traceable.
Is sovereign AI less powerful?
No. Deeplink relies on open-source language models whose performance on everyday business tasks (writing, summarising, document search, translation) is comparable to that of proprietary models.
The difference lies in scope: Deeplink is designed to work on your knowledge base rather than to answer on every subject. For an SME, this restriction is an advantage, because it reduces invented answers (hallucinations and bias) and makes results verifiable.
